Pray to Thy Father in Heaven
Part 4

Have you ever stopped to think who you are praying to?
or
"What difference would it make if you truly believed that you are coming before the King of the Universe?
In such a scenario, how would you pray to him?
Trust me, you are not alone!
The Holy Spirit is with you!
The Holy Spirit helps you when you don’t know what to say. He teaches you, reminds you of what’s right, and helps you talk to God in the way He wants (John 16:13).
That means you don’t have to be perfect. You don’t have to have fancy words. You come as a child of God because Jesus made a way for you to talk to God. So do not come to God thinking we deserve His attention or that you are doing this in your own merit. Instead, come as His children, through Jesus Christ.
So when you are praying, you are talking to our Father in heaven, through Jesus’ name, with the Holy Spirit helping us (Romans 8:26).
Jesus gave us the way to come close to God. He gave us this access. He is our only Mediator, our High Priest, the One who bridges the gap between sinful me and a Holy God. (1 Timothy 2:5).
Now that you know who you are addressing in your prayer, pray like this as Jesus taught His disciples in Matthew 6:9 (KJV) "Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name."
When you pray and ask in Jesus’ name, you're standing on His promise, for Jesus said in John 16:23, “Whatever you ask the Father in My name, He will give it to you.”
I’d rather be able to pray than to be a great preacher; Jesus Christ never taught his disciples how to preach, but only how to pray. D.L. Moody
So come quietly. Come sincerely. Pray to your Father in the name of Jesus, and invite the Holy Spirit to lead you—not just in prayer, but in every step of your life.
